analobeBallet School. She was invited to join the National Ballet of Cuba and was promoted to principal dancer in 1988. Ms. Lobe performed principal roles in classical and contemporary ballets, and toured with the National Ballet of Cuba on an international basis. In 1988 Ms. Lobe won a certificate as a finalist at the International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi, and the International Ballet Competition in Varna, Bulgaria. At the invitation of Ivan Nagy, Ms. Lobe danced with the English National Ballet during the 1990-91 season and participated in the ballet galas honoring Alicia Markova and Princess Diana. During the 1993-94 season Ms. Lobe joined Ballet Mississippi as a principal dancer.

From 1994-2001 Ms. Lobe was a principal dancer with the Cleveland San Jose Ballet where she expanded her repertoire to include roles in the works of Dennis Nahat and Roland Petit. Ms. Lobe’s roles included Kitri in Don Quixote, Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, the title role in Roland Petit’s Carmen, Swanhilda in Coppelia, and Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. Her partners have included Jose Manuel Carreno, Olivier Munoz, and Fernando Bujones. She has taught master classes and workshops throughout the United States. Ms. Lobe has also been on faculty at the Dance Institute at the University of Akron.
