Serious Dance, Serious Fun!
The male ballet dancer is a combination of an elite athlete, intelligent student of the body and graceful dancer. Our dance training program includes flexibility training, co-ordination skills, musicality training a
nd sports conditioning. Mixing keeping young boys engaged and challenged.
Most people do not associate ballet with sports, but many professionals consider ballet dancers the best athletes in the world! Professional football players such as Hershel Walker studied ballet when he was with the Dallas Cowboys as did he was with the Dallas Cowboys as did as cross-training in high schools and major colleges to help the athlete master balance, speed, agility, strength, alignment, flexibility, and injury prevention.
A typical class begins with a slow muscle warm-up which takes place on the floor with stretching of the back, shoulders and legs. It progresses to strength training such as sit –ups, and push-ups. The middle of the class deals
with cardiovascular training, such as jumping rope, jumping jacks, lunges and basic dance steps. The class ends with ballet barre training which builds strength in the core and legs; as a result, the boys are prepared to execute big jumps and leaps.
