SUMMER PROGRAMS
Geiger Classic Ballet Academy has offered its highly renowned summer intensive ballet program since 1995. We understand the importance of continuing dance education and training during the summer months, thus we make it our mission to provide area students with the opportunity to gain technical and professional instruction from a variety of guest teachers. Geiger Ballet offers three types of summer dance programs, which provide opportunities to all students looking for high quality dance training.
INTENSIVE SUMMER CAMP
July 30-August 17
Three weeks of multiple classes per day are taught by nationally renowned guest faculty in a variety of dance disciplines. Classes are open to students eight years old and up with previous training. This program is a day camp. Level A & B students attend Monday-Friday
and Level C students attend Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Classes offered are:
Ballet, Pointe, Variations, Repertoire, Contemporary, Modern, Pilates,
Choreography/Creative Movement, and Stage Make-Up Application. A
demonstration/social for the parents is held each Friday showcasing
material learned during the week.
EXTENDED SUMMER PROGRAM
July 9-26 & August 20-23
An extension of the school year with classes beginning at 4:30pm.
Classes offered are:
Early Childhood for 4-6 year olds, Intro to Ballet for beginners age 7 and up,
Child Ballet, Intermediate Ballet, Pointe, Teen/Adult Open Ballet, Character,
and special classes for Boys.
APPRENTICE PROGRAM
July 23-July 27
This one week program is for upper level students who want intensive summer
training to prepare for upcoming auditions, a return to university or
professional companies. Classes are held 10am-2pm Monday through Friday
and consist of Ballet/Pointe Technique, Contemporary, Pilates and
Repertoire.
