SUMMER PROGRAMS

Geiger Classic Ballet Academy has offered its highly renowned summer intensive ballet program since 1995. We understand the importance of continuing dance education and training during the summer months, thus we make it our mission to provide area students with the opportunity to gain technical and professional instruction from a variety of guest teachers. Geiger Ballet offers three types of summer dance programs, which provide opportunities to all students looking for high quality dance training.

 UPDATE: 2014 SCHEDULE LISTED BELOW

YOUTH DANCE CAMP

Tinkerbell & Tutus:  July 7-11 and Aurora’s Ball:  August 11-15

Does your child dance around the house on their toes pretending to be a ballerina? Then this would be the perfect summer camp for them. Each day the children will have a ballet class, make crafts associated with a ballet theme, and learn stories of the great ballets. Parents are invited to watch their children in a mini-performance at the end of each week.

GOLDEN INTENSIVE

2 Levels offered: Ages 7 & up  &  10 and up
1 Week – $315     2 Weeks – $550 (includes 12% discount)

The golden intensive is a great opportunity for returning students to stay in “ballet” shape during summer vacation. It is also a perfect time for new students to experience classes at Geiger Ballet. Students who participate in both weeks of this intensive will present a mini-performance at the end of the second week.

Each week highlights a featured guest master teacher. Every morning begins with a 2 hour Ballet technique class followed by a Pointe, or Variations class. After a 45 min. lunch break where classic ballets are shown on screen, the guest teacher continues working with the students on a repertoire piece for presentation in an informal showcase on Friday.  The final class daily is either a contemporary class or fitness class.
